Product Price Catalog

A catalog gathers the supplier’s products in an electronic product catalog, published in the search engine used by buyers. The catalog contains all required transaction information such as prices, lead times, and units of measure, as well as additional sales related material like product descriptions and images.

When to use:

  • For well defined products & services
  • Example: office supply, IT peripherals, basic trainings, catering, spare parts etc.

IBX Content Workbench is a free-of-charge web application that allows the supplier to upload the catalog updates and supplemental files.

Catalog Scorecard combines a tool and a methodology developed by Capgemini Procurement Services to help suppliers enhance the quality of their electronic catalogs. After the catalog has been published, Capgemini Procurement Services can use a scorecard to evaluate and provide recommendations on catalog quality.

Catalogs are evaluated using these three criteria:

  • Search - How easy is it to find the supplier’s products?
  • Decide – Does the catalog provide all necessary information to make a purchasing decision?
  • Follow up – Does the catalog have the information needed to get quality statistics from the purchasing process?

Depending on the result, you can sign up for a workshop in catalog quality to learn more about how to improve the catalog quality to gain increased sales.
